Today the elementary students:
  • played the warm-up game "Chair Swap" during the morning meeting
  • learned and practiced new yoga poses (bear breath and double chair ) along with previously learned poses
  • concentrated on level-specific grammar instruction (grade 1: comparative and superlative adjectives, grade 2: base words, suffixes, and prefixes, grade 3: apostrophes)
  • learned about mixing primary colors and water absorption through the science experiment, "Walking Water"
  • practiced our summer camp poem
  • listened to and discussed the story, "The Little Mermaid"
  • engaged in an art activity, where the students drew a picture while listening to different styles of music (classical, jazz, new age, and funk)
